Transformation to a Fresh Tomorrow
We’re excited to co-present our 3rd Annual Web3 Investor Day. Hosted at Sterling Bay's first Life Science's building in Lincoln Yards development in Chicago on August 1, 2024, Bridge Alternatives, Decasonic and Sterling Bay are bringing together the global leaders to foster the connections of capital and ideas and innovate in Web3. This conference of the top global capital allocators, family offices, endowments, venture capital firms, trading groups, and other industry leaders draws on the myriad of perspectives around the transformative potential of Web3. We hope through these in-person connections, we can rally the sustained adoption of Web3 technologies.
Our conference theme this year, "Transformation to a Fresh Tomorrow," reflects our enduring commitment to Web3 across all market cycles. In a turbulent and unpredictable year since our last conference, Web3 has emerged stronger and healthier. Broader investor optimism suggests that fresh institutional funds into Web3 across both tokens and equity may endure. Across adoption metrics, customer interest and developer activity, Web3 seems to have normalized off the 2023 lows post-FTX and Binance to grow above pre-pandemic levels. It’s refreshing to see the transformation and next evolution of Web3 and it’s refreshing to meet many of you on August 1.
And yet, even with the improved optimism from last year, there still remain open questions in the development and adoption of our next generation Internet: the balance of speculative versus productive investor capital in this current cycle, the productive role of liquid trading capital in fostering Web3 innovation, the attractiveness of venture investments in follow on financings, the role of policy and regulation that may enhance innovation, the continued developer activity to improve the underlying infrastructure and other Web3 recovery characteristics in target customer use cases.
We remain committed to navigating regulatory shifts, fostering investor optimism, and building the customer use cases for Web3. Physical spaces enhance our innovation conversations. In person relationships foster our collaboration. Relationships drive breakthrough innovations. Our theme reflects the optimism, determination and commitment investors and innovators have solidified off the depths of the bear markets to drive success in the bull markets.
Our conference sessions will cover the spectrum of capital and innovation ideas in Web3. Morning sessions cover both the general and specialist investor views of Web3, including perspectives from family offices, market narratives from crypto trading and transformations in Web3 venture capital.
We’re excited to welcome an esteemed lineup of speakers: Ronald Diamond (of Diamond Wealth) and Jeff Cantulopo (of Listen Ventures) will share the family office perspectives on Web3; Bruce K. Lee (of Keebeck Wealth Management) and Yasmine LaCaillade (of sinefine) will provide viewpoints from the asset allocators' perspectives; Srinivas Dhulipala (of New Form Capital), Zach Pandl (of Grayscale Investments), and Carson Cook (of Membrane) will cover the current trading landscape; and finally, leading Web3 venture capitalists, David Nage (of Arca), Rob Schmults (of Blockchange Ventures), Vanessa Pestritto (of Flare Network), and Sam Hellene (of CMT Digital) discuss today’s early stage funding deals.
Before our lunch networking sessions, we cover the evolving regulatory and policy landscape that has many investors and innovators optimistic in 2024, with panelists Mike Frisch (of Croke Fairchild Duarte & Beres), Olta Adoni (of Enclave Markets), and Heath Tarbert (of Circle).
We conclude our one-day conference with afternoon sessions focused on emerging Web3 use cases.
