The Ga^3in Ventures Web3 x AI Pitch Competition kicked off in Chicago with startups from across the world showcasing products at the intersection of stablecoin payments, decentralized infrastructure, and digital identity. The event brought together innovators in blockchain and Web3, with judges from Decasonic, Maiden 57, Redefine Capital, TrueScore Ventures, and more. Ten founders presented live demos and strategic visions, competing for a $15,000 audit services prize from Quill Audit. The panel revealed a high concentration of builders tackling legacy finance barriers, ownership of personal data, and on-chain consumer experiences.

The startups addressed some of the most pressing gaps in the current Web3 ecosystem:

  • Infrastructure for Stablecoin Payments: Several teams built business tooling to make stablecoin transactions more accessible, abstracted, and seamless for businesses and users. They focused on reducing settlement friction, increasing card compatibility, and ensuring smart contract interoperability.

  • Ownership of Data and Digital Identity: Vault emphasized reclaiming control over personal data with a decentralized VPN and future marketplace for data monetization. Reveal introduced a stablecoin ID protocol that allows seamless P2P transfers across fragmented stablecoin rails.

  • Onboarding the Next Billion: Select startups targeted creator and community experiences, using no-code superapps and token-based ticketing to increase Web3 adoption among non-crypto users.

  • Emerging Market Use Cases: Financial inclusion and dollar access was emphasized in Latin America and Africa. These solutions abstracted crypto complexity, offering users stable yield, remittance functionality, and mobile-first interfaces.

For builders, this competition demonstrated a shift toward invisible crypto—tools that abstract Web3 complexity while preserving decentralization. Payment and identity layers are converging, especially around stablecoins, and several startups are designing intuitive, plug-and-play APIs for both merchants and users.

For investors, the traction and clarity seen in the startups suggest that stablecoin infrastructure, privacy-preserving data markets, and verticalized superapps are maturing into investable categories. Builders also showed a strong awareness of regulatory landscapes and go-to-market differentiation. The discussion reinforced that success in the next wave of Web3 adoption will hinge on deeply localized distribution, interoperable primitives, and seamless user experiences.

Winner: MyFye – for its scalable Web3 wallet targeting Latin America
