all perspectivesMarketing is becoming a more technical function, and artificial intelligence is accelerating that shift.
For years, building and maintaining a company's digital presence required coordination across marketing, design, engineering, and external development resources. Every major website update, new landing page, or change in functionality carried its own development requirements, production timeline, and cost.
AI is changing these economics. Marketing teams can now participate more directly in building the infrastructure behind how companies communicate, distribute content, and engage with their audiences. The ability to move from an idea to a functioning digital experience is becoming more accessible, creating opportunities for organizations to rethink how they allocate resources and execute their strategies.
At Decasonic, we are experiencing this shift firsthand.
We recently rebuilt our website, decasonic.com, using AI-enabled development tools by Dance. The project reflects our broader conviction that AI will reshape how organizations are built and operated, including functions that have historically depended on specialized technical resources.
We believe applying these technologies within our own operations gives us a more practical understanding of the changes we are investing behind.
AI Is Changing the Cost and Speed of Marketing Execution
The economics of marketing have traditionally been shaped by the resources required to produce and distribute work.
A website redesign might involve weeks of planning, design revisions, developer coordination, and implementation. Even after launch, making structural improvements could require additional production cycles.
AI-assisted development tools are changing that process.
Teams can increasingly translate ideas into functioning digital experiences through natural-language instructions, assisted coding, and iterative development workflows. This expands what marketing teams can execute directly and reduces some of the coordination required between strategy and implementation.
For organizations, the implications extend beyond website production.
As the time and resources needed for execution decrease, teams gain more opportunities to test ideas, respond to audience behavior, and improve the experiences they create. Marketing budgets and resources can be allocated more deliberately across production, experimentation, research, and distribution.
We believe these changes will increasingly influence how organizations structure their marketing functions and evaluate the return on their investments in technology.
The advantage will come from how effectively teams apply these capabilities to produce meaningful outcomes.
Building Our Website Through an AI-Native Workflow
Decasonic's website rebuild provided an opportunity to put this approach into practice.
Working with Dance, we rebuilt our digital presence using AI-assisted development workflows, with marketing directly involved in defining the experience, organizing content, and guiding implementation.
The process allowed us to work more closely across strategy and execution, translating our requirements into website functionality through an iterative approach. For example, we used AI-assisted workflows to reorganize our Perspectives content into more discoverable categories, and improve the navigation and overall user experience. We also streamlined ongoing content updates, making it easier for our marketing team to implement changes, test improvements, and respond to evolving business needs without lengthy development cycles.
This included rethinking how our investment thesis is presented, how visitors discover our portfolio companies, and how our research and Perspectives are organized.
Our objective was to create a digital experience that better reflects Decasonic's investment philosophy and highlights our differentiated approach to early stage investing to founders, investors, and ecosystem partners.
The new website brings greater focus to several areas:
- Investment thesis and focus areas. A clearer presentation of where we invest and the technologies shaping our investment decisions across Web3 x AI.
- Research and Perspectives. A more organized experience for discovering our analysis of AI, digital assets, agentic finance, consumer AI, and emerging technology markets.
- Portfolio visibility. An improved way for visitors to explore the companies and founders within the Decasonic ecosystem.
- Ongoing iteration. A development approach that supports continued improvements as our research, investment priorities, and marketing requirements evolve.
The experience reinforced an important observation. As AI-enabled tools become more capable, the relationship between marketing strategy and technical execution is changing.
Marketing teams can increasingly influence and implement the systems supporting their work, creating a more direct connection between what an organization wants to communicate and how that experience is delivered.
The AI-Native Marketing Function
As AI makes development and production capabilities more accessible, marketing teams can take greater ownership of the infrastructure supporting their work.
This creates an opportunity to build more integrated workflows across research, content development, publishing, distribution, and performance measurement.
At Decasonic, we are applying this approach as part of our broader effort to operate as an AI-native venture capital firm.
Our AI Operating System is designed to bring together human expertise, institutional knowledge, AI agents, and specialized workflows across our organization. Within marketing, we are exploring how these capabilities can support content creation, research, analytics, website management, and operational execution.
The goal is to make our team more effective by improving the connection between knowledge, decisions, and execution.
We believe the growing accessibility of AI-enabled tools will allow smaller teams to manage more sophisticated operations. This has implications for startups in particular, where resources are limited and the ability to execute quickly can meaningfully influence growth.
As the economics of production continue to change, the importance of differentiated thinking, audience understanding, and execution discipline will become even greater.
These are capabilities we believe will remain central to building durable organizations.
Building With the Technologies Shaping Our Investment Thesis
At Decasonic, our investment perspective is informed by research, market observation, and direct experience with emerging technologies.
Rebuilding our website with AI gave us another opportunity to apply that philosophy.
It allowed us to explore how AI-assisted development is changing the responsibilities of marketing teams, how organizations approach digital infrastructure, and how quickly ideas can be translated into working experiences.
Our newly launched website is one outcome of that work, and we intend to continue improving it as our capabilities and understanding develop.
We believe AI will continue reshaping the economics of building and operating companies. Organizations that learn to integrate these capabilities thoughtfully into their workflows will be better positioned to adapt as the technology advances.
For Decasonic, participating in that change is an important part of understanding it.
